Master 3D Modler - Max Loef

I was born in Lima, Peru in 1961. Emigrated to the United States in 1978 and settled in the Dallas area. I went to The University of Texas at Dallas, and got a Bachelor or Arts in History in 1989. Learned 3d modeling and animation on my own and worked for several video game developers, as well as animations for History and Discovery Channel documentaries about aviation subjects. After that I worked as an architectural visualization specialist and continued to develop my skills, this time concentrating on science fiction themes. I really enjoyed the opportunity of working with the Trekyards team, because I was able to develop and refine my own design for a Starfleet type starship. Their ideas and suggestions were invaluable, and the USS Grau just wouldn’t look the way it does without their input. Modeling the Romulan Terror Bird, designed by Michael Freitas was very challenging, but I am very happy with the way it turned out.
