Master 3D Modler - Michael Wiley

Michael Wiley is a graphic designer, 3D artist and modelbuilder. Known to the Star Trek: Bridge Commander gaming community under the alias, WileyCoyote, Michael creates faithful reproductions of Star Trek ships.

Michael taught himself 3ds Max while he was in college, and later began teaching others how to use the software. In late 2014 and again in 2016, Michael was invited to create artwork for the Star Trek Ships of the Line Calendar. This was amazing achievement for Michael, being in a publication with other Trek artists and designers.

When he’s not at work, Michael is usually found building a Star Trek model kit or working on a 3D commission. Since he was little, Michael has always been building model kits. Recently, Michael has built a studio scale USS Kyushu which he brought to Wonderfest 2016 to show Stuart Foley and others at the event.

In between projects, Michael builds requested ships to present on Trekyards- an online Star Trek discussion webseries. For the ships featured, Michael has built the USS Excelsior, the Star Trek Renegades Klingon Cruiser, the Trekyards starbase for their respective episodes and had his USS Polaris reviewed by both Stuart Foley and Samuel Cockings.

You can see Michael’s artwork on his Deviant Art page and his website.
